I just found out that funimation has bought the rights to Mirai Nikki (future Diary) and i'm wondering if they've announced any release dates for a Bluray or DVD release? I can't see to find out anywhere so I thought I would come to the forums. It'd be amazing if they had a limited edition of it

Couldn't care less about the blu-ray part but glad to see a possible release date coming soon.

Why would you mention that you don't care about the Blu-ray? Wouldn't it have been more productive to say you're looking forward to the release and/or looking forward to it coming out on DVD?
It just seems needlessly baiting to those who prefer the Blu-ray release in a topic that doesn't need to be derailed, I'd recommend bringing up your displeasure for a given media platform in your own topic outside of this one.
I guess that makes much more sense. I was mostly focused on the part about it coming soon. And part of me was a little afraid that there wouldn't be a DVD release for some reason. Wasn't trying to get things off topic. But yes, I am extremely looking forward to the DVD release.

Ah sorry for snapping then, thankfully I think the only company that would release a series on BD and not DVD is Aniplex (and most likely a standard edition DVD set would most likely come out later.
It's still going to be awhile before DVD support is dropped by any anime company.
(edit: rereading this leads me to know that I like using the term "most likely")
NIS America has released a few Blu-ray only releases.
