new dvd/blu-ray boxes?

Are all the limited edition dvd/blu-ray combos in a blu-ray sized case? I just bought steins;gate part 1 and the case was so small... it doesnt fit with my dvd collection at all.... hmm
i think you should make dvd sized combos also, (like you did with spice and wolf season 2). That would be great!

Won't happen because people have and will continue to complain about using DVD casesfor their Blu-Ray discs, and it's senseless and more expensive to make/sell two different-sized LE boxes to satisfy someone's OCB.

Nobody wins either way... dead

Suggestion: take the discs out of the BD case and place them in a DVD case.

But then they wouldn't fit in the box.

They only way they'll come in DVD sized cases is when the release is a DVD style Only set liek with the Deadman Wounderland and Panty & Stocking sets. Otherwise they wil be coming in th eBD cases. Which frankly help to save a small bit on space so really it's not big a concern

I was so happy that they began doing them in a blu ray sized box. Didn't they previously do it in DVD sized ones and people hated it? I just wish they would get rid of the hideous, horrendous, horrible, heinous blue bar along the top of some of the box sets (anyone impressed with my alliteration?)

Not sure why it matters, as long as you have the damned series. Though, can say the awful blue bar should be there (though, don't have a set with it), but BD has been out long enough to where people can look on the spine (were they should be in the first place) and look for the little logo. But me personally, I wait for the complete set to come out, since i buy so much anime in a year.

Also an interesting note that with Stiens;Gate and Strike Witches 2 Funimation has switched to a new more rigid Bluray box (although oddly enough Aria was the old style). It's slightly thicker then the previous box, but I'm a fan since it seems to protect the disks better.

That blue bar is just a cardboard piece that I jsut throw away. And I've noticed not all the series of DVD/BD combo have it. My Aria the Scarlet ammo didn't have it, nor C. But FREEZING did. Frankly they should jsut not put them on. Uneven hight isn't much of a worry. Not like the MIS sets that compeltly stand out on the shelf from al other box sets I have.

You mean Aria the Scarlet Ammo? Cause mine's in the saem new BD LE cases that both my C and Freezing sets, are in. Ant theos match my other combo LE sets too.

It seems like they are doing away with them all together. Freezing released out in August, while C and Aria released out in October. This tells me that they started doing away with them either in September or October.

Personally, I find the toppers useful when I was at FYE yesterday. They still don't have their Blu-ray titles sorted in genres yet (just alphabetically ordered). However, I could easily spot a Funimation title thanks to those toppers.

So they are not like the Claymore blu ray box set anymore? That was all I had to compare it to and that was certainly not removable.
